Mandiri named official bank for SEA Games
Indonesia’s largest lender by assets, Bank Mandiri, has been appointed the official bank for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games 2011 in Jakarta and Palembang.
Mandiri managing director Zulkifli Zaini and SEA Games organizing committee (Inasoc) chairwoman Rita Subowo signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the appointment at Bung Karno Stadium in Senayan, Jakarta, on Sunday.
The MoU signing was witnessed by Youth and Sports Minister Andi Mallarangeng.
Zulkifli said Mandiri would provide mobile ATMs, foreign currency exchange and transaction machines for credit and debit cards.
“We’re still counting the number of mobile ATMs we’ll need; we’ll draw some mobile ATMs in other regions to Jakarta and Palembang,” he said as quoted by kompas.com.
Other companies named official sponsors for the event include national flag carrier Garuda Indonesia, food producer Indofood, mobile operator Indosat, Unilever, Samsung, Panasonic and Daihatsu.
